The surgical interventions to eliminate the visible aging symptoms that emerged over the face and neck regions are called facelift. Facelift, which is also known as rhytidectomy, is performed to fix the saggy and irregular skin on the patient's forehead, face and neck regions while removing the excessive volume of fatty tissues at the cheek and neck areas. The fascia (connected to all the systems in the human body, a vital structure as vital as blood) and the fatty tissues of the face are suspended by contracting up to the anatomically convenient sections and also facial tissues are supported. In that process, eyelids of the patient are also refined. Upon requirement, in association with facelift procedure, peeling, filling, or botox treatments are performed as complementary interventions.
