What is a Revision Nose Job?

Revision nose surgery is the surgery that should be performed in cases where the targeted results of the nose job procedure performed previously couldn’t be achieved due to various reasons. The failed results of the nose surgery are reviewed and corrected with the revision nose surgery.

When is Revision Nose Surgery Needed?

In rhinoplasty procedures, some results that the patient and the surgeon do not wish may appear at the rate of 10% after 9-12 months. These adverse conditions require a second revision nose surgery. The circumstances that require revision nose surgery are as follows:

• Breathing problems/nasal obstruction
• Artificial or unnatural nasal appearance
• Persistent nasal hump
• Saddle nose or over-reduced bridge
• Over-rotated or under-rotated tip
• Crooked tip or crooked nose
• Asymmetry in the tip, upper third or middle third of the nose
• Displaced nasal implant or extruding nasal implant
• Nose is not in balance with the rest of the face (too big or too small)
