Revision nose surgery is the surgery that should be performed in cases where the targeted results of the nose job procedure performed previously couldn’t be achieved due to various reasons. The failed results of the nose surgery are reviewed and corrected with the revision nose surgery.
When is Revision Nose Surgery Needed?
In rhinoplasty procedures, some results that the patient and the surgeon do not wish may appear at the rate of 10% after 9-12 months. These adverse conditions require a second revision nose surgery. The circumstances that require revision nose surgery are as follows:
- Breathing problems/nasal obstruction
- Artificial or unnatural nasal appearance
- Persistent nasal hump
