Non-surgical aesthetics means procedures without an incision, given by injection or on the skin surface. They are discussed for lines, volume loss and skin quality when surgery is not needed — or when surgery is to be postponed.
These treatments do not replace a facelift or rhinoplasty. The effect is time-limited; volume that fights anatomy does not look natural. At the Nişantaşı clinic, suitability is decided in Prof. Dr. Şükrü Yazar’s assessment.
Botulinum toxin, filler, skin renewal and injection-based care work by different mechanisms. The cards above are the main options offered in the clinic; detail sits on the treatment page.
Which one fits you depends on whether the complaint is muscle, volume or skin quality. This article explains how a decision is made and when treatment is not given. If surgery is more appropriate, a non-surgical “stopgap” is not pushed.
Every face is different; still, separating the procedures at a high level makes the choice easier.
First the complaint is separated: a line that appears with movement, volume that collapses at rest, a skin mark, or laxity. The wrong split leads to expecting a lift from filler. Options are discussed with duration, the need to repeat, and risk.
If surgery is more appropriate, a non-surgical stopgap is not imposed. The reverse is also true: if a lift is not yet needed, unnecessary surgery is not offered.
Filler and botulinum toxin are medical products; allergy, vessel occlusion, asymmetry and eyelid droop are among the risks. Product, dose and injection point are therefore chosen by the physician. An “as much filler as I want” approach distorts the face.
In skin treatments, recovery days, sun and active lesions shift the plan. An honest history before treatment — especially blood thinners and previous herpes — is for safety.
The same hollow needs different filler amounts on two faces. Expression strength changes botulinum toxin dose. On a male face the aim is also not to erase expression, but to look rested.
The plan is sometimes staged with surgery: skin quality first, then — only if truly needed — an operation. That sequence is set at examination.
For most treatments a short preview and an in-person assessment are enough. Treatment time ranges from minutes to about an hour. Afterwards, cold packs, a make-up ban or a sports limit are explained according to the procedure.
The effect of botulinum toxin appears over days; filler is immediate but then settles; skin care is seen across sessions. A “finished face” should not be expected from one visit.
Distortion after filler or botulinum toxin done elsewhere, dissolving or correction, is a second-opinion matter. Product name and date make assessment easier. Blind intervention raises risk.
Pregnancy, breastfeeding, active skin infection, uncontrolled immune disease or an unrealistic expectation defer treatment. Wanting a face that cannot be recognised is not a medical indication.
Lax tissue, a nasal skeleton or marked excess skin need surgery. A non-surgical session does not close that gap; the limit is said plainly at examination.
Botulinum toxin does not replace filler, peeling does not replace surgery, and regional slimming does not replace liposuction. A written plan should state the duration and limit of each path. That dissolves the idea of “the same job, only lighter”.
