PROCEDURE
Breast Augmentation
Breast augmentation surgery involves placing silicone implants under the breast tissue to increase breast volume. If there is sagging and looseness in the breast tissue, the breast tissue can also be lifted at the same time. Breast augmentation surgery is performed under general anesthesia using techniques determined on a case-by-case basis. Silicone implants are placed under the breast tissue or the muscle in front of the rib cage through incisions made at the edge of the nipple, in the crease under the breast, or in the armpit, depending on the technique used. The type of silicone implants used in breast augmentation surgery is determined based on the desired outcome and body type.

PROCEDURE
Breast Lift
The breast lift cosmetic surgery procedure, known as mastopexy in medical literature, is a procedure that involves removing excess skin from the breasts, reshaping the tissue around the breasts, and lifting and tightening them. With this surgery, women achieve breasts that are proportionate to their body measurements, firm, symmetrical, and natural-looking.

PROCEDURE
Breast Reduction
Breast asymmetry refers to any condition where one breast differs from the other in terms of volume, shape, or size, or where the nipple level or diameter of one breast differs from the other, due to congenital or developmental abnormalities, pregnancy and breastfeeding, or hormonal imbalances. In breast asymmetry correction surgeries, the patient's requests, breast structure, and size are taken into consideration. Reduction, augmentation, lifting, or fat injections—either one or a combination of these methods—are applied to one or both breasts to correct the asymmetry between them.

PROCEDURE
Nipple Aesthetics
Nipple aesthetics refers to cosmetic surgical procedures that address problems with the nipple, areola, and surrounding brown area (areola) in women. Various deformities of the nipples, such as inverted nipples, flat nipples, large and wide nipples, and the creation of nipples that are completely absent (nipple reconstruction), are problems that nipple aesthetics surgery can solve. Nipple aesthetic surgeries can also be performed in conjunction with breast augmentation, reduction, and lift procedures, which are part of breast aesthetics applications. Factors causing enlargement of the areola surrounding the nipple also cause the breast tissue to lose its unique shape and distort the breast shape. The colored area on the nipple is more prominent in dark-skinned women and can vary in color tone depending on hormonal changes.
PROCEDURE
Tuberous/Tubular Breast
Tuberous breast – also known as tubular breast, conical breast, goat breast, or hypoplastic breast – refers to separate and asymmetrical breasts (breasts) that form during the breast development process in both women and men. It refers to a congenital deformity characterized by a narrow breast base, a wide areola, a high inframammary fold, and protrusion of breast tissue outward from the nipple. The cosmetic surgery performed to correct these issues is called tuberous breast surgery or tubular breast surgery.
PROCEDURE
Breast Asymmetry
Breast asymmetry refers to any condition where one breast differs from the other in terms of volume, shape, or size, or where the nipple level or diameter of one breast differs from the other, due to congenital or developmental abnormalities, pregnancy and breastfeeding, or hormonal imbalances. In breast asymmetry correction surgeries, the patient's requests, breast structure, and size are taken into consideration. Reduction, augmentation, lifting, or fat injections—either one or a combination of these methods—are applied to one or both breasts to correct the asymmetry between them.
PROCEDURE
Breast Reconstruction
Breast reconstruction, also known as breast reconstruction surgery, is a procedure performed after the entire breast or part of it has been removed to ensure the breast appears as natural as possible and to help women feel better about themselves following this stressful process. Breast reconstruction surgery plays a significant role in helping women look better physically and feel better emotionally. Removed breasts can usually be reconstructed using silicone implants or the patient’s own tissue. Breast reconstruction can be performed either during the same period as the surgery or after the treatment process is completed in suitable patients.

Treatment Journey & FAQ
Process
Pre-Massage Procedures Examination Phase, Routine Procedures, General Information Examination: First, the patient is examined by Prof. Dr. Şükrü Yazar, a specialist in Aesthetic, Plastic, and Reconstructive Surgery. Their health status, complaints, and aesthetic expectations are evaluated. Their age, weight, body size, body fat percentage, rib cage condition, the proportions of the skin and connective tissue covering the breast fat and mammary glands (glandula mammaria), and any suspected oncological problems are considered to determine whether the patient is suitable for breast aesthetics. If the patient has any medical conditions such as high blood pressure, kidney failure, diabetes, chronic asthma, or is taking regular medications, they should inform Prof. Dr. Şükrü Yazar. If the patient is taking blood-thinning medications such as aspirin, vitamins, or fish oil, they should inform Prof. Dr. Şükrü Yazar. If the patient smokes or drinks alcohol, it is recommended that they quit, or at least reduce their intake, two weeks before surgery. In addition to blood tests, ultrasounds, and general health screenings before breast surgery, a mammogram is required for women over 40. Before surgery, patients are asked to remove all jewelry, rings, earrings, piercings, contact lenses, dental prostheses, and other accessories. For comfort during their hospital stay, it is recommended that the patient have a companion and wear loose-fitting clothing that buttons or zippers. Routine Procedures: The patient will receive a "Breast Aesthetic Surgery Informed Consent Form." The patient will be dressed in compression stockings. A drawing is made with a marker pen. The patient will not be taken to the operating room without the drawing. A pneumatic compressor is set up for the patient before surgery and used until discharge. After surgery, a sleeve with cold gel (ice) is applied to the breasts for 15 minutes every hour. If the nipple has been treated, the nipple is checked frequently for circulation and hematoma. General Information: Circulation is monitored in patients undergoing flap surgery. To ensure accurate circulation, cold application is NOT applied to the flap area! All drains placed in patients are monitored under NEGATIVE pressure. All patients will receive IV fluid (from a pump – a serum set) and administered at the required rate to ensure routine fluid support until discharge. The patient will sign each page of the consent form. The chest area A nurse is present next to the doctor while drawing with a marker pen.
Post-Massage Procedures Examination Phase, Routine Procedures, General Information My patients can go home after a 1 or 2-night hospital stay and necessary tests. Drains (vacuum tubes) placed to prevent blood and fluid accumulation are usually removed the next day. It is normal to feel some pain, aching, tension, and soreness in the surgical areas for up to a week. During this period, our patients are provided with painkillers. To ensure rapid healing of the surgical wounds, the first few days should be spent resting. A healthy diet should be maintained and smoking and alcohol should be avoided. Depending on the type of breast surgery, our patients should wear the special sports bra we provide for them for 1-2 months. Recovery Status of My Breast Aesthetic Patients They can return to work after 3-5 days. They can resume their social lives as usual after 5-10 days. After 3 weeks, patients can engage in light exercises like brisk walking. After 6-8 weeks, they can begin less strenuous exercises like Pilates and yoga. After 3 months, they can participate in strenuous sports. Dressing and Checkups: I share my post-breastplasty dressing and routine checkup schedules with my patients. Regular follow-ups are crucial for a safe and complete recovery.
FAQ
Where do you perform your examinations, surgeries, dressings and check-ups?
I perform preoperative examinations, postoperative patient dressing changes, check-ups, and follow-ups for breast aesthetic surgeries at my own clinic in Nişantaşı. I perform all my aesthetic surgeries at Acıbadem Maslak or Acıbadem Altunizade hospitals in Istanbul. However, due to certain special circumstances and requests, I also work at other hospitals.
Can I see pictures of people who have had breast aesthetics done by you before?
In Turkey, sharing photos of individuals who have undergone cosmetic surgery in digital environments and using them for advertising purposes is prohibited by law. Doctors may only show photos of patients who have signed an official consent form allowing the taking and sharing of surgical photos for scientific purposes. Photographs taken during the pre- and post-operative processes cannot be used on public platforms, television, newspapers, magazines, websites, emails, social media pages, phones, blogs, articles, catalogs, etc.
Which doctor should I go to for breast aesthetics?
Cosmetic breast surgeries are performed by doctors who are “Specialists in Aesthetic, Plastic, and Reconstructive Surgery.”
Can I get the same breast that I see and like in the picture?
Any breast seen and admired in a picture can always be achieved, but in breast aesthetic surgery, the correct approach is to design breasts that suit the patient's face, body, and physical structure. The same aesthetic plan should not be used for a patient who is 1.55 cm tall and a patient who is 1.80 cm tall.
Will there be any scars, stitches, or similar marks on my breasts after the surgery?
Surgical scars are inevitable in surgical procedures. Depending on the type of breast aesthetic surgery, these scars occur in the areas where incisions are made, namely the armpit, the lower part of the dark ring around the nipple, the lower part of the crease where the breast meets the chest, or the navel area. The healing process of cosmetic surgery stitches, which become faint over time, may vary depending on the patient's age at the time of surgery, the physiology of wound healing, genetic physical-DNA structure, and skin characteristics.
Will breast aesthetic surgery affect my ability to breastfeed my baby during pregnancy?
All scientific studies conducted worldwide have proven that breast aesthetic surgeries such as reduction, augmentation, and lift do not affect women's milk ducts after pregnancy and do not prevent breastfeeding. For example, in breast augmentation procedures, the implant is placed behind the breast muscle, in front of the muscle, or under a thin membrane called fascia between the muscle and breast tissue, known as subfascia. In all three cases, the silicone implant has no connection to the mammary glands, milk ducts, or the area where the nipple is located. Note: If you are planning to have a baby in the near future, this should definitely be discussed with your doctor, as significant changes in breast size and shape can occur during pregnancy and the subsequent breastfeeding period.
Does breast aesthetics cause any disease and is there a risk of cancer?
Breast aesthetic surgeries performed in hospital and sterile operating room conditions do not cause any other diseases related to their internal dynamics and do not pose a cancer risk.
In which season is it appropriate to have breast aesthetics?
Breast surgery can be performed in any season. However, in Turkey, women most often seek cosmetic breast surgery during the winter months. The reason for this is that surgical procedures performed in winter allow for the treatment and recovery processes to be completed by the summer season.
Is there a risk of death in aesthetic breast surgeries and what are the possible complications?
Cosmetic surgeries are procedures with a very high success rate. However, in some patients, physiological and psychological complications may occur, albeit very rarely. These include: minor bleeding, infection, capsule formation, asymmetry (differences in size and shape between breasts), breasts not being the desired size, temporary loss of sensation in the breasts and nipples, deformation, scarring, and tissue death, which are rare complications.
Is it a sin to have breast aesthetics and how is it permissible?
All conditions that negatively affect individuals' health, quality of life, and psychology should be treated if possible.
I have an overweight problem. Can I have breast aesthetics?
In breast aesthetic surgery, the patient's body fat percentage is taken into consideration before deciding on the size or shape of the new breast. For patients undergoing reduction surgery in particular, the proportions of the abdomen, legs, hips, and arms are analyzed. If the patient is overweight or obese, it is recommended that they lose weight before surgery.
Does the Social Security Institution (SGK) cover the costs of breast aesthetic surgery?
Cosmetic breast surgery is considered under special treatment. SGK covers the costs of cosmetic surgery for women suffering from severe back and waist pain due to excessively large breasts, as well as for women undergoing necessary and psychological procedures following breast cancer, and for men experiencing gynecomastia (breast enlargement) under the relevant laws in Turkey.
At what age can I have breast aesthetics? Is there an age limit for surgery?
There is no minimum or maximum age limit set by the Ministry of Health for breast aesthetic surgery in Turkey. Individuals can consult with aesthetic and plastic surgery specialists at any age, provided they have physically completed puberty, have developed breast tissue (are at least 18 years old), have a stable body structure, and are in good health, based on the results of the necessary preoperative examinations.
